Systems Support for Space Operations and Missions
ITT is providing technical and communications support to a worldwide system of highly sensitive antennas and tracking facilities for NASA‘s Jet Propulsion Laboratory’s (JPL) Deep Space Network focused on: Core mission support for interplanetary and deep space mission spacecraft and high earth orbiters; navigation, command, and data acquisition support services; real-time operations support to telemetry radar and radio astronomy systems; and facilities operations/maintenance modernization and new technology insertion.
Our innovative venture with Spaceport Systems International (SSI) has created a partnership that provides full service payload processing, encapsulation launch integration, and medium-lift launch capabilities for low polar orbit satellites. Examples of these services include:
- Integrated payload processing facility with three large processing cells, highbay, airlock, and technical support areas — validated 10,000-class clean room facilities
- Medium-lift launch capabilities Space Launch Complex-8 (SLC-8) — supports Minotaur and Peacekeeper launch missions
- Support for NRO and NASA satellite and spacecraft mission requirements
